Biography

John brings a background in business and finance to his practice of advising municipal councils, municipal officials, business-people and individuals. 

In his municipal law practice, John has dealt with complex conflicting issues in a broad range of matters, including the sale of a railway, the opposition to aerodromes, the resolution of road and waterfront boundary disputes, and the protection of a municipal vision within a large land development presently in receivership. 

His expertise is recognized across Ontario. In court, John has both advanced and defended municipal council decisions. He has obtained injunctions in site alteration disputes and other enforcement matters. Recently he has advised Integrity Commissioners and others on Municipal Code of Conduct matters.

In his general practice, John advises his clients on shareholder, director, real estate, corporate/commercial, civil litigation matters and wills and estate administration.
