Biography
Curtis is hybrid commercial and litigation counsel who has municipal law experience.
In his commercial practice Curtis prepares and analyzes all manner of business contracts, including a successful amendment to a contribution agreement with a federal department. He also advises researchers and innovators on all key relationships, such as shareholder, employee, customer, investor, and bank relationships.
He is an active advocate before the Ontario Superior Court. He appears on motions, conducts examinations for discovery, does the in chief witness presentation of his own client’s witnesses at trial, cross examines adverse witnesses and prepares final arguments.
Curtis has experience advising municipal councillors and their personal staff on code of conduct matters and he has appeared before municipal councils in camera to advise on litigation matters.
Curtis holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Faculty of Common Law at the University of Ottawa.
